Five6 Media Group serves a collective of artists and innovators dedicated to promoting the arts across South Carolina. We seek to provide access to the arts and bolster its visibility and impact through innovative design, cultivating a platform where entrepreneurship and creativity converge, while empowering communities through enhanced accessibility and education in the arts. Five6 Media Group views arts and design as interdisciplinary, capable of shaping multiple industries. "Cultivate Creativity" is both our mission and the foundation of our services. Through innovative instruction, exposure, and studio practice in 3D Design, Photography, Sculpting, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Film, and more, we aim to use art intentionally across industries, fostering the next generation of world-changing thinkers and innovators.

Meet Aldric: A Multifaceted Artist, Educator, and Graphic Designer

Aldric, a native of Greenwood, South Carolina, embodies the spirit of creativity in every facet of his life. With a deep-rooted belief that everyone possesses the potential to be an artist, he has dedicated his career to nurturing personal creativity and spreading the magic of art. His journey has taken him through various roles as an artist, educator, and freelance graphic designer, leaving an indelible mark on both the artistic community and the lives he touches.

Education has been a cornerstone of Aldric's career. Over five years in higher education, he has crafted comprehensive course curriculums and conducted workshops that delve into the intricacies of multimedia processes. As an advocate for artistic expression, he empowers individuals to tap into their inner creativity, guiding them toward self-discovery through art. His dedication to teaching has made him an esteemed professor at the University of South Carolina, where he imparts his wisdom primarily in the drawing and printmaking departments.

Aldric's artistic journey has been punctuated by a multitude of achievements. His work has graced the walls of more than 13 exhibitions, where his innovative and thought-provoking pieces have captivated audiences. His talents extend to the realm of book illustration, with multiple book covers bearing his signature touch. Currently collaborating with a local graphic company in Columbia, SC, he infuses his design work with a unique blend of creativity and professionalism.

He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in 2011 and later achieved his Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in 2020, both from the University of South Carolina. These academic milestones served as launching pads for his diverse artistic career.

Aldric's creative philosophy revolves around the concept that art is intrinsic to everything in life. He perceives art as a tool for self-expression and empowerment, breaking down barriers and bridging gaps. This philosophy finds expression in his ambitious projects, including his own comic book venture that explores various artistic styles and his program centered on black inventors, which redefines art's role and impact within underrepresented communities.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Aldric embraces his role as a dedicated husband and father. His commitment to his family is a testament to his nurturing and caring nature, which extends beyond the canvas and the classroom.

As a multifaceted individual, Aldric's reach is widespread. He is an active member of USC's "Ink and Paper" and "SVAD" associations, contributing his insights and energy to these artistic communities. Additionally, he serves as a part-time mentor for the Avant Grads group within the Studio Art Department, further solidifying his role as a guiding figure in the lives of aspiring artists.

Aldric's commitment to community and growth extends to his involvement in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., where he became a member through the Theta Nu Chapter at the University of South Carolina in the spring of 2009.

Aldric's journey is a testament to his unwavering dedication to art, education, and empowerment. Through his myriad of roles and projects, he continues to enrich the lives of others, proving that art is not just an aesthetic, but a powerful force for transformation and connection.

Introducing Sedric: Catalyst for Change, Strategist, and Advocate for Public Welfare

"Sedric's journey is illuminated by the timeless words of Cicero: 'Salus Populi, Suprema Lex Esto' – Let The Welfare of the People Be The Supreme Law. Rooted in this philosophy, Sedric embodies the essence of a creative visionary, strategist, and philanthropist, steadfast in his commitment to uplift and serve others. With a remarkable 9-year career in Public Health, he has forged impactful paths within state government, academia, and community development, leaving an indelible mark on programs spanning from HIV prevention to community engagement in both South Carolina and Indiana.

Originating from Columbia, South Carolina, Sedric's educational foundation was laid at the University of South Carolina, where he earned a BA in History with a Minor in Health Promotion, Education & Behavior in 2012. His quest for knowledge led him to further greatness, as he completed his Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Public Health Management & Policy from Capella University in 2016.

Sedric's dedication to the betterment of society finds expression not only in his professional career but also in his active involvement in nonprofit initiatives. His esteemed presence has graced several nonprofit boards, including serving as Secretary of the Black Alumni Collective, Vice-Chair of The Kneeland Center for Poetry, and as a past Chair of the University of South Carolina Black Alumni Council. He is a firm believer in the transformative power of nonprofits and their ability to catalyze positive global change. This belief fueled his establishment of Palmetto P.R.I.D.E. Sports in 2018, a venture that resonated so deeply that it expanded to Indianapolis, Indiana in 2020.

A proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Sedric's commitment to community and empowerment was cemented through initiation in the Spring of 2009 via the Theta Nu Chapter at the University of South Carolina. Beyond his professional and fraternal pursuits, he treasures moments of leisure. Sedric's passions encompass the world of sports, both as an avid spectator and a spirited participant. He finds solace in movies, exploring new horizons through travel, deriving knowledge and inspiration from books, capturing fleeting moments through photography, and immortalizing thoughts through the art of journaling.

As he continues to stride forward, Sedric remains a beacon of positive change, a strategic thinker driving progress, and an unwavering advocate for the well-being of all. His life resonates with the essence of Cicero's words, embodying the belief that the welfare of the people should indeed be the supreme law, a law that Sedric exemplifies through his actions, aspirations, and unwavering commitment to the betterment of humanity.
